Lecture: Insights from investigating unidentified threats for the U.S. Department of Defense

This is an exclusive interview of Luis Elizondo, the former head of a secret Pentagon project to investigate UFOs. The project was called the Advanced Aerial Threat Identification Program (AATIP). An article on Dec. 16, 2017 in the New York Times revealing the program made worldwide headlines. Thus far, short media interviews are all Elizondo has participated in. In this exclusive interview, Elizondo answers questions from UFO Congress social media followers and friends.

Luis was originally going to join us at the conference, but that was not possible due to a personal issue. However, Luis still wanted to answer questions and speak to the audience of the International UFO Congress. He says: “The UFO community have been ridiculed and marginalized and yet, somehow, doggedly persisted in their pursuit of the truth, despite the naysayers and cynics.” He continued: “It is a fact that part of my inspiration for coming forward after these many years was due to the multitudes of brave men and women who continued to ask the hard questions despite the common consensus of the system.”

Although he could not physically make it to the conference, we  show an interview with Luis recorded exclusively for the International UFO Congress. Alejandro outlines the timeline for how the New York Times story on Elizondo came about, and after the video interview, former UK Ministry of Defence UFO investigator Nick Pope shares his thoughts.

    Elizondo: Insights from D.O.D.

Posted by Karl Weaver on Mar 21st 2018

There was some interesting information in his presentation which was new to me. Of course this just went public last calendar year. He seemed pretty credible to me. The videos of course--it's hard to make too much out of them. If they have a D.O.D. official validation that would be something quite new. What he did not specifically say that I heard, but it certainly implies, is that unlike what the government said publicly, D.O.D. NEVER stopped investigating these reports between 1947 and now.

Luis Elizondo-Insights From Investigating Unidentified Threats For The U.S. Department Of Defense

Posted by Dr. Alan J. Pasler on Mar 7th 2018

The presentation was excellent. Mr. Elizondo is true professional and his insights manifested not only his integrity, but also his respect for, and adherence to the scientific method. The fact that this investigation and findings is based on the DOD's endeavor into the UAP/UFO phenomenon certainly adds credence to all the hard work of Ufologists around the world. The very fact that the US military would fund such a program, after all of the government's denials over the years, is revealing, in and of itself; and speaks volumes as to the credibility of the phenomenon.
